Two words for you, amazingly beautiful! In fact, probably one of the best books I have read in the last few years. Oh and that cover. Isn’t it just absolutely stunning?
Rowell has such a unique style of writing which compliments the voices of the main characters, Eleanor and park, in such a way that you feel so involved with the story that is being built around them. It allows for both of their personalities to shine, and characteristics to be developed so well throughout the course of the book.
She manages to bring to life a new kind of love story, one which personally I think is more relatable than what some other books, as well as movies and TV have done in the past. Falling in love doesn’t consist of accidentally bumping into someone a bookstore perhaps, and knowing straight away that they are the one for you. NO! Just no! Real love takes time and effort to build into what it is. In this case it goes from hate to friendship, and then into love.
Something I love is that they are not exactly the archetypal romantic duo that you would usually see. In fact, they seem to be on the completely opposite ends of the spectrum with who they are. They are so imperfect, that it just seems to work. If these are the characters Rowell creates for this, then what are her other characters from other books like? I can’t wait to find out, especially now that I am getting excited to read Fangirl, the book that has been on my shelf for quite some time now. Bring it on!
The only problem I really had with this, was actually getting into the story in the first place. The beginning in particular was so slow to get through, and dragged, that I found it difficult to get into. If you have read it, you may know what I am talking about, but you will also be able to agree that once you do get into it, it is AMAZING!

This book and Fangirl was totally enjoyable but I loved Attachments most of all. ❤

Oh my gosh I loooove Rainbow Rowell. Her writing style is right up my alley! Unfortunately this wasn’t one of my favorites from her, but I definitely loved Fangirl and Attachments! Have you read these? So good!

RAINBOW ROWELL IS AMAZING! I still need to read Fangirl. I keep hearing great things about it. I will have to add it to my TBR 🙂
